Land Rover Offers The Disco Pursuit

A new well-equipped limited edition Discovery 3, called the Pursuit, will be on sale in March 2007, for under £30,000 OTR।

Only 300 Discovery 3 ‘Pursuits’ will be available from Land Rover dealerships across the country. Based on the TDV6 GS model, the Pursuit also features Java Black paint work with Ebony interior, 19? alloy wheels, body coloured wheel arch surrounds, manual leather seats and chrome finish mirror caps.

Land Rover’s multi-award winning Discovery 3 is a technology-packed, premium 4×4 designed to deliver outstanding performance both on the road and off-road. The bold, versatile design is distinctively Land Rover and offers exceptional space, comfort and flexibility, for up to seven adults.

All Pursuit limited editions are powered by the Discovery’s acclaimed TDV6 diesel engine and feature standard technologies including Hill Descent Control, air suspension and Terrain ResponseTM, all industry-firsts for Land Rover.

All Land Rover vehicles include a CO2 offset for the first 45,000 miles within the on-the-road price. Administered by Climate Care, an independent CO2 offset provider, the programme ensures that the average amount of CO2 produced by a Land Rover is offset by investments in a mixed portfolio of projects, including renewable energy, technology change and energy efficiency initiatives.

The Discovery 3 has sold nearly 30,000 units in the UK and 115,000 units globally since launch in 2004, and continues to collect critical accolades the world over.

KTM X-Bow

Ford Unveils Ford Edge with HySeries Drive

Due to lack of proper hydrogen refueling infrastructure it is difficult for a car to completely rely on the fuel cell। Ford has unveiled a special version of its recently introduced Edge crossover utility vehicle (CUV). This HySeries Drive concept features a flexible vehicle architecture, which allows it to accept a wide variety of powertrain options. The vehicle employs an advanced propulsion technology.

In its current form, the Ford Edge with HySeries Drive uses a 350-bar hydrogen fuel cell (4.5 kg of useable hydrogen) in addition to electric motors, which are fed by a 336-volt lithium-ion battery pack. The car is always powered by its battery pack.

The advantage with this technology is that the battery can be recharged by any of the two ways. Either by plugging the vehicle into a standard home outlet using the onboard 110/220 charger or by the hydrogen fuel cell.

With all these advanced technologies, the car has a high economy rating of 41MPG, an extended range of 200 miles due to hydrogen fuel cell over the post range of just 25 miles due to the battery pack when fully charged.

This is a real good concept from the company that provides them the flexibility to produce a car fit for any domain. The company is looking forward to further improve the version by implementing healthier hydrogen refueling infrastructure, more durable fuel cell components and more cost-effective lithium-ion batteries.

Dodge Demon Roadster Concept Revealed

The Dodge Demon concept is a compact, nimble “roadster with an attitude,” a perfect balance of classic sports car proportion and simplicity blended with modern design and performance। The vehicle will be shown for the first time at the 77th International Motor Show in Geneva next month. “While the iconic Dodge Viper is a dream car for many, the Dodge Demon is designed to be an attainable dream car,” said Jae Chung – Dodge Demon Principal Exterior Designer, Chrysler Group. “The exterior design is simple yet bold, featuring an energetic combination of curves and intersecting planes.”

The bodyside of the Dodge Demon main character line flows up and over the front wheel, then drops diagonally to an angular color-keyed vent on the rear fender that directs cooling air to the rear brakes. In similar fashion, the compound rear fender surface curves up and over the rear wheel, sweeping into a broad diagonal plane extending to the taillamp. The resulting muscular fender form projects boldly beyond the main body, underscoring that the Dodge Demon concept is a rear-wheel-drive machine. c
